“Look out! Oh wait, it’s a bird. It’s a suspicious bird though, better keep an eye on it!”
Watcher provides a… well… watchful escort out to the sheep pen. He really thinks I shouldn’t go out there at all; there’s an awful lot of horns and hooves in there, but as long as I’m going to be silly he’s going to make sure nothing attacks me on the way.
“Now dear, if the latch chain is too high to reach, try pushing on the gate. Sometimes it’s not tight enough and you can squeeze past the gatepost.”
Princess instructs Nova in the fine art of escaping. The wire mesh that used to be on the gate fell off quite a while ago, but fortunately even the lambs are now too big to squeeze through the bars. It doesn’t stop Princess from trying, though.
“Be careful over there, son! I’m sure she’s planning something horrible!”
Neo thinks maybe he should have some crunchies for breakfast, and Lady worries about her baby hanging out with such a shady character as I.
“Yawn. Do I have time for a nap before we go out?”
Duchess thinks maybe she’s not quite ready to get up yet. She perks up once I open the gate and everyone goes out for breakfast.
Once everyone clears out of the Clubhouse area, I check the water tub and the salt feeder, and then receive another Watchful escort back to the house. He’s much more enthusiastic going in this direction.
“Come on, step lively! I don’t know why you insist on going out there all the time; you are so much trouble you’re going to drive me prematurely gray keeping track of you! Every time I turn around you’ve wandered off and gotten into something. Why can’t you just do what I tell you to? Grumble grumble grumble.”
He borrowed that speech from me.
